Report on Participation of Members of the Association of Judges of Ukraine in the 61st Congress of the International Association of Judges

On October 14-18, 2018, the 61st International Congress of the Association of Judges of the World was held in Marrakech (Morocco).
The congress was attended by the Ukrainian delegation (members of the Association of Courts of Ukraine), including the President of the Association of Judges of Ukraine Elena Ivanovna Yevtushenko, judges of the Northern Economic Court of Appeal Korotun O.M., Didichenko M.A., Stanika S.R. and judges Svyatoshyatoshita The district court of the city. The 61st Congress of the International Association of Judges (IAJ) opened on October 14 in Marrakech with the participation of judges and senior judicial officials from 87 countries.
This five-day meeting, held under the high patronage of King Mohammed VI and organized by the Hasaniya Masters Association, was an opportunity to share experiences and strengthen partnerships between Morocco and other countries, as well as major international organizations.
The program of the 61st International Congress of the Association of Judges of the World includes events, meetings and seminars on topics related to justice and the challenges facing judicial institutions around the world in the field of civil, criminal and commercial human rights.
On October 17, an international conference was organized on “The Independence of Justice and the Establishment of the Universal Status of Judges”, with the participation of senior officials representing major international organizations, to discuss the issues of independence of justice, problems of establishing trust, achieving justice in the service of citizens.
Founded in 1953 in Salzburg (Austria), the IOC is a professional, non-political international organization uniting national associations of judges, rather than individual judges approved by the Central Council for admission to the Association. The main goal of the Association is to ensure the independence of the judiciary, which is the most important requirement of the judicial function, guaranteeing human rights and freedom. Currently, the organization covers 87 such national associations or representative groups, from five continents of the world.President of the Association of Judges of Ukraine Elena Ivanovna Yevtushenko
