International Conference “Social Security of Judges” and a meeting of participants of the Memorandum on Cooperation on Multilateral Cooperation between the Associations of Judges of Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Poland, Ukraine, Estonia and Moldova.

December 6-7, 2018 in the city. Astana (Kazakhstan) hosted the International Conference on “Social Security of Judges” and a meeting of the participants of the Memorandum on Cooperation on Multilateral Cooperation between the Associations of Judges of Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Estonia, Lithuania and Moldova. The Association of Judges of Ukraine took part in the conference: President of the Association of Judges of Ukraine, Judge of the Supreme Specialized Court of Ukraine for Civil and Criminal Cases Yevtushenko Olena Ivanovna and Judge of the Frankivsk District Court of Ukraine, Lviv Martynyshyn Maria Alekseevna. The official opening of the conference took place on December 6, 2018. Speeches were given by: Chairman of the Union of Judges of the Republic of Kazakhstan M. Alibekov, Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan Z. Asanov, Chairman of the Constitutional Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Mami, Head of the Secretariat of the Association of Judges of the States Signatories of the Memorandum of Cooperation Vakhtang Tordia. President of the Association of Judges of Ukraine Elena Ivanovna gave a speech on the topic: “Social protection of judges in Ukraine”. The main topic discussed at the conference is the independence of justice and social security of judges.The purpose of the Memorandum is to deepen cooperation between national associations of judges.Participation in such international conferences is of great importance because it deepens the awareness of judges with international norms of providing judges, enhances interaction and communication between judges from different countries.
