Information about the stay of the delegation of the Association of Judges of Ukraine for the purpose of professional development and exchange of experience in the city. Wismar (Germany) in the period from 9-13 October 2017

According to the program “International Training Course for Judges, Lawyers, Human Rights Defenders” of the University of Wismar (Germany), a visit of the delegation of the Association of Judges of Ukraine took place from 9 to 13 October 2017.

Members of the ASU delegation took part in the conference in the city. Hamburg on the topic: “Influence of European Union law on Ukrainian and German law”, which took place in the premises of the Hanseatic High Land Court and round tables on the topic: “The Constitution of Ukraine as a basis for ensuring the approximation of national legislation to EU law (speaker: Doctor of Juridical Sciences, Professor Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine Anatoly Selivanov); “Constitutional reform in Ukraine — the view of experts from the outside” (speaker: Professor, Dr. Otto Luchterhandt, University of Hamburg); “Constitutionalization of the International law and order: basic concepts and trends of implementation (on the example of the EU, Germany and Ukraine) (speaker: Professor, Dr. Yuriy Voloshin, National Aviation University); “Constitutional reform of judicial proceedings in Ukraine in the context of European models of judiciary and judicial proceedings” (speaker: professor Dr., Dr. Boris Polyakov, Kharkiv National Law University named after him. Yaroslava Mudroho); “Limits of law-making of EU organizations when approving standards of judicial activity” (speaker: Ph.D. Tatyana Danilchenko, National Aviation University); “Impact of EU Law on German Economic Law” (speaker: Professor, Dr. Rainer Vedde, Wizbaden Business School); “Contract Law of Ukraine and European Contract Law: Problems of Interaction” (speaker: Professor Dr. Elena Belyanevich, Research Institute of Private Law and Entrepreneurship named after him. F. Burchak at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine); “Impact of EU law on German insolvency law and bankruptcy law” (speaker: Olga Hartung-Afifi, lawyer, Cologne); “Impact of EU law on German social law. Action of EU social law on citizens of Ukraine living within the EU” (speaker: Dr. Andres Leopold, judge of the Social Court of Hamburg); “Protection of social rights by the Constitutional Court of Ukraine in connection with the experience of social protection in the EU” (speaker: Professor Dr. Mykhailo Savchylo N, National University, m. Uzhhorod); “Problems of the reform of the pension system of Ukraine in the context of the influence of EU law on Ukrainian law” (speaker: Professor, Dr. Vadym Roshkanyuk, National University, Moscow. Uzhgorod).
During their stay, members of the delegation of the Association of Judges of Ukraine listened to lectures on: “Higher legal education in Germany”, “General principles of civil proceedings in Germany. Mediation. Fundamentals of the criminal process in Germany”, “Basics of administrative process, types of claims, importance of principles of legality and responsibility, legal protection from regulations, importance of human rights”, “Organizational and legal forms of business activity in Germany and corporate management of companies. Investing from Ukraine in German companies. Contractual activity. Taxation. Settlement and consideration of disputes arising from the business activities of business entities in Germany (including with the participation of foreign counterparties)”.
All members of the delegation of the Association of Judges of Ukraine were given a mediator certificate.
